Day 148…Looking Back in Haiku.

There have been some positive things that have come out of this pandemic. I’m grateful to my family, friends and the NHS… and also for the positivity of the Radio 2 presenters… a poem there is brewing!

Looking Back in Haiku.

Nature unsullied,

Empty roads, clarity time

Friendly time to chat.

Distance from others,

Hugs a thing from time gone by…

Humanity’s loss.

Holidays cancelled…

Plans aborted and airlines,

All gone up in smoke.

Politicians fight

Why’re they not working as one?

Where is ‘Together’?

Exam fiasco

Clarity for futures lost.

Kids lives in chaos.

Mental health mayhem…

Anxiety…depression…

Young and old suffer.

Other ills forgot…

The big picture’s been obscured.

The C-word prevails.

Masks…isolation…

Covid versus humankind.

Connection is lost.

People’s lives in shreds

News full of indecision.

Losing hopes and dreams.

Maybe the future

Is the rainbow end’s gold pot…

Pandemic freedom.
