Day 27… School’s Out!

Today is the day that all children should be returning to school for the start of the summer term. When they actually will go back is unknown. And yes, you’ve got it…this goes to the rhythm of Alice Cooper’s famous song!

School’s Out.

Well, the government’s voice

Says that girls and boys

Stay at home, no choice,

No exams…rejoice!

Well we can still teach ya

On your ipad;

If teachers can’t see ya

They’ll go mad!

School’s Out for Covid,

School uniform’s out-voted;

School’s from online preachers!

Lots more Mine Craft,

Whatsapp friends,

All our parents going round the bend!

Well, we got no Maths

And we got no Assemblies

And we got lots o’ worries

We can’t even snog behind the bike sheds…

School’s out…no blackboard

School’s out and we’re bored

School’s got no more teachers!

No more detention,

No more tests,

No more making our headmaster stressed!

Home all summer,

Home for us all;

Home ’til the TV drives us up the wall!

School’s out…the bell’s rung,

School’s out so stay home;

School’s out ’til Covid’s gone,

School’s out…indefinitely!
